After spending Labor Day on Lake Erie (yes, we know we made a mistake last month), we headed to South Carolina to visit relatives. With gas prices far below the national average at $2.88/gal, we were surprised to hear the locals complain about the cost of fuel. A few days later we headed North to do some furniture shopping in High Point, NC. Furnitureland South is a mecca for anyone in the market for new home furnishings. A huge selection and great service. Our order will be delivered to Illinois in December. From there we headed to Hershey for the country’s largest RV Show with over 1200 RVs on display. We, however, were not really impressed with the shows organization and selection. We share our thoughts about the show and our take on when 50 amp is not 50 amp.
Our trip home included a quick stop in Cleveland for the RnR Hall of Fame and a quick repair stop in Elkhart, home of the RV.
We have now winterized the motorhome until January when we will once again be on the road.
Next month (October-November) will find us in India on an extended visit to the subcontinent. We’ll be doing our best to keep the blog and podcast updated, but please understand if we are a bit off our usual schedule.
